The Road Transport Forum is advising freight and stock truck drivers to have their paperwork ready at the Auckland-Waikato border to avoid long delays.
Police checkpoints on Auckland's southern boundaries have been in operation since 11pm on Tuesday.
Road Transport Forum chief executive Nick Leggett is confident lessons have been learned from previous Covid-19 checkpoints.
