A UK study suggests the effectiveness of full vaccination for Covid-19 with double doses of the Pfizer or AstraZeneca vaccines starts to wear off within six months.
The researchers looked at more than a million positive test results between May and July.
The lead author, Professor Tim Spector, said a third booster jab may become necessary to quell infections.
The Brazil Health Ministry announced overnight it will give Pfizer vaccine booster shots to people with compromised immune systems from next month.
