Primary principals have been dealing with a number of sick leave applications from unvaccinated teachers wanting leave from today until the end of the year.
The vaccine mandate is now in force and staff without their first jab are no longer allowed on school grounds.
Principals Federation president Perry Rush told Morning Report a lot of teachers were missing out on money for their stance on vaccination.
"They will have been stood away from that work and some will be on leave with pay, most will be on leave without pay."
