The news that the tide of people moving out of Auckland for greener pastures has increased during the pandemic will not have come as a huge surprise to our next guest.
Along with his fellow journalistic partner, Michele Hewitson, Greg Dixon was one of the early ones who cashed out his property in the Queen City for a bucolic new life in the Wairarapa.
These days the couple own a twelve-acre block freehold, wake up each morning to the sound of the birds, and take turns writing about the ex-Auckland life each week in a shared column for the New Zealand Listener.
Dixon spoke to Corin Dann.
