While the country may be heading into winter, the impact of another dry summer is fresh on the minds of farmers.
The warming climate means those who live off the land are having to deal with shriveled crops, grass turning to dust and water supplies vanishing more often.
But some drought-hit farmers say that there are steps that can be taken to ease the pressure - and that planning should start now.
