In South Africa at least 45 people have now died in the violence that has been engulfing parts of the nation since the jailing of former President Jacob Zuma last week.
This toll includes ten people who died in a stampede during looting at a shopping mall in Soweto, the country's biggest township.
Officials have accused some groups of taking advantage of the anger over former president Jacob Zuma's imprisonment to commit criminal acts.
Others have attributed the riots t anger over unemployment and poverty.
Cape Town correspondent Mark Roughton spoke to Corin Dann.
