There's a warning that the world needs 13 million new nurses over the next decade to prevent a nursing crisis and a global healthcare disaster.
A report from the International Council of Nurses says rich countries have recruited staff from poorer ones, leaving those countries short.
It also says the crisis isn't purely caused by coronavirus, but the pandemic has exacerbated pre-existing issues.
The Council's chief executive Howard Catton spoke to Susie Ferguson.
