Auckland Airport traveller Machellle was waiting to depart Auckland Airport - she has not seen her daughter in a little more than two years.
She told Tess Brunton she hasn't seen her granddaughter since she was just seven days old.
Daphne Allen from Waikato says she's travelling to her family on the Gold Coast - she has not seen her daughter and grandson in over a year.
She says she booked the "first flight out" of New Zealand.
