Greenpeace is urging the Government to take rapid action to reduce climate pollution from methane, through lower stocking rates and other measures.
The environmental group says the latest advice from the United Nations is that cutting methan emissions is even more important than earlier thought.
It wants the Government to bring in solid regulation to lower cow stocking rates, and to cut synthetic nitrogen fertiliser.
Greenpeace senior campaigner Steve Abel spoke to Corin Dann.
