Hutt Valley High School remains hopeful the Education Ministry will demolish and replace a major classroom block that has been closed after the discovery of black mould.
Yesterday, all 1700 students learned from home so teachers could prepare for term two, when the school's 500 senior students will have to work at home for about half of the week because there is no room at the school.
Acting principal Denise Johnson told education correspondent John Gerritsen there's some nervousness about how it will go.
