Labour MPs on Parliament's health select committee have vetoed a bid to hold the Government to account over a lack of progress on mental health.
The National Party, ACT and the Green Party all voted in favour yesterday of holding an inquiry into the planned 15 mental health inpatient facilities and delay in getting shovels in the ground.
The multi-party bid was led by National's mental health spokesperson Matt Doocey.
He spoke to Susie Ferguson.
