Should 16 year olds get to vote?
That's one of the questions that a new major review into Aotearoa's electoral system will consider.
Minister of Justice Kris Faafoi said that the review will consider lowering the voting age to 16, but that any change would not take effect before the 2026 election cycle.
A change to the voting age would also require either the support of 75 per cent of the House or the support of the public in a referendum.
Caitlin Taylor from the youth-led non-partisan organisation Make It 16 spoke to Morning Report's Corin Dann.
