Melbourne Cup going ahead with 10,000 spectators - a podcast by RNZ

The Melbourne Cup, Australia's most famous annual Thoroughbred horse race, is going ahead on Tuesday with 10,000 people allowed into Flemington.
Last year, no crowds were allowed at the event due to the pandemic.
This year the Cup will still be overshadowed by Covid-19 restrictions with only vaccinated fans able to buy tickets.
