Brazilian driver Helio Castroneves has won the Indianapolis 500 this morning after a late move to the lead.
The 46-year-old held off Spaniard Alex Palou and Frenchman Simon Pagenaud to take home a record-tying fourth title.
Castroneves joins drivers Al Unser, Rick Mears and A.J. Foyt in the Indy 500's four-win club.
Veteran New Zealand driver Scott Dixon started in pole position, but saw his hopes of victory fade when his car ran out of fuel on lap 36 and his team struggled to restart the engine in pit-lane.
He finished in 17th, while fellow New Zealander Scott McLaughlin finished back in 20th position.
Kurt Darling from WIBC Radio spoke to Susie Ferguson from the speedway.
