A New Zealand Olympian is grateful athletes here aren't under the same pressure as foreign competitors over early access to Covid-19 vaccines.
The Government has announced those who represent New Zealand in an official capacity will be eligible to apply for an early vaccination.
The New Zealand Olympic Committee will file the application for athletes, with New Zealand Cricket also expected to apply ahead of their England tour in May.
But in other countries, talk of bumping Olympians up the vaccine queue hasn't gone down well - even among sportspeople themselves.
It's seen as unfair queue jumping, while many vulnerable people still await their vaccine as a matter of life and death.
Quentin Rew is New Zealand's top men's racewalker, having competed in London 2012, Rio 2016, and all going well, Tokyo 2020.
He spoke with reporter Harry Lock over how he felt about possibly getting a vaccine.
