The defence team for three police officers charged with manslaughter of Taranaki man Allen Ball has admitted its clients made mistakes. The 55-year-old died at the Hawera Police Station in June last year after being arrested following a family harm call out. Taranaki Whanganui reporter Robin Martin has been in the High Court at New Plymouth where he heard the opening arguments by the defence.
