Among those trying to get out of Kabul are Afghan nationals who worked with the New Zealand military.
Those that are already here are begging our government to extend its rescue mission to include the families they had to leave behind.
Many of them helped in peacekeeping missions over the last two decades and were granted residency but that offer didn't extend to their parents or siblings.
Now that the Taliban has seized control, they say their involvement with the West, has put a target on their backs.
