The National Party says the government's approach to the trans-Tasman bubble is getting comical.
The Government is set to announce when it will open two-way travel bubble in a fortnight - on April 6th - once Cabinet's satisfied a number of conditions have been met.
These include a robust framework for when cases arise in Australia, effective contact-tracing for visitors, and ensuring airports and airlines are ready.
Prime Minister is defending the delay, saying Australia's change of position in February, meaning New Zealand is working with individual states, added a layer of complexity.
Political Editor Jane Patterson asked National's Chris Bishop if Australia's decision could be blamed.
