Just as thousands of school kids are being forced to rely on computers to connect with teachers, a new study links digital devices to poorer achievement.
The Education Ministry paper says international data suggests most fifteen-year-olds in New Zealand do worse in reading, maths and science if they use a computer in the classroom.
It says there's an urgent need to identify how to best use computers in schools.
