You've heard of a dog with a bone - but what about a dog with a phone?
Research has uncovered a high-tech method for pooches to contact their owners when they're at home alone.
The device - nicknamed DogPhone - is actually a ball which, when moved, triggers a video call.
University of Glasgow professor in Animal-Computer interaction Dr Ilyena Hirskyj-Douglas spoke to Corin Dann.
