Three of Auckland's top restaurants have been forced to close for two weeks because the owners can't get enough staff.
Sid and Chand Sahrawat own Cassia, Sidart and the French Cafe.
The couple and their businesses will today join restaurants across the country in switching off their lights for two minutes at either 11.30am or 7pm as a way to bring attention to the industry's staffing crisis.
Chand Sahrawat spoke to Corin Dann.
