A leading jockey feared human and horse lives would be lost when a spectator walked onto Trentham race course home straight during a Wellington Cup meeting race on Saturday.
Accomplished rider Lisa Allpress was disgusted by the actions of the man, who inexplicably stood before the charging horses, which swerved around him.
The man has been charged with criminal nuisance. Allpress says she's seen nothing like it in 20 years in the saddle.
She speaks to Susie Ferguson.
