International travel is set to resume next year, but it won't be like pre-2020.
From early next year the Government is doing away with managed isolation for most fully vaccinated travellers, and replacing it with mandatory seven-day self isolation.
Initially only New Zealanders and other eligible visitors will be able to come into the country.
Trans-Tasman travel for this group will start from 16 January, other countries will be added on February 13.
By 30 April, fully vaccinated foreign travellers will be able to come in too.
Matt Wong of iFly Queenstown and Miek Haines of Shark Experience in Bluff spoke to Corin Dann.
