The British home secretary Priti Patel will consider offering police protection for MPs after the brutal killing of David Amess.
The Conservative MP was stabbed to death in his constituency.
Police are questioning a man suspected of his murder - he's been named as Ali Harbi Ali - a Briton of Somali origin.
Patel told the BBC terrorist threats can never be completely eradicated and are growing.
BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner spoke to Corin Dann.
