Wellington Bird Rehabilitation Trust overwhelmed with tui, kerer? - a podcast by RNZ

Record numbers of tui and kerer? are stretching the services of a Wellington bird rescue charity from antics such as falling out of nests, flying into windows and getting crunched in the jaws of neighbourhood cats.
Over the last year, the Wellington Bird Rehabilitation Trust has cared for 1260 rescued birds.
Craig Shepherd, from the trust, says the good news is numbers of tui and kerer? are increasing, but it also means more are needing care, and the trust needs to raise funds for cages and aviaries.
He speaks to Susie Ferguson.
