Wellington is waking this morning to a continued occupation of Parliament grounds, with no indication of when it will end.
Hundreds of anti-Covid-19 vaccine mandate protesters spent a second night illegally camping despite being asked to move on.
Trucks and campervans continue to block nearby roads and morning commuters are once again being told to expect delays.
Three men who broke through a police line yesterday were arrested and charged with obstruction.
The Wellington Chamber of Commerce says some businesses have closed as a defensive measure against the protesters.
A security expert says the police have a lot to weigh up as they work out how to respond to the continuing occupation.
