Temporary accommodation services in Westport are to be activated for those with homes damaged by severe weather, including extensive flooding.
Flooding beginning last Friday afternoon has left many West Coast residents unsure where they're going to live.
Dozens of homes have been red-stickered as unsafe, while just over 300 have yellow stickers and can only be entered on urgent business.
Associate Minister of Housing Poto Williams is heading to Westport this morning.
She spoke to Guyon Espiner.
