A woolly mammoth named Kik, who roamed Alaska 17,000 years ago, walked far enough in its 28 years of life to circle the globe nearly twice.
Scientists have come to this conclusion through an analysis of the mammoth's tusks.
Those findings could shed light on species living today in the Arctic's changing climate.
