Oil and gas workers based overseas say a lack of managed isolation spaces is forcing them to choose between their careers and their families.
New Plymouth resident Gavin Shaw has been on a rig off the coast of Myanmar since May and doesn't think he'll be able to get home until next year.
He spoke to Taranaki Whanganui reporter Robin Martin about his situation.
