Dr Erica Brozovsky is a sociolinguist, and the host and writer of popular PBS Youtube series 'Otherwords', an educational series about language and linguistics. Erica's videos explore the weird and whacky lesser-known history behind words and language, they've garnered hundreds of thousands of views. She argues that gossip is not only a part of our human nature, a tool that's helped us to build better social connections and community, but it could also be the origin of language itself.
