Ngati Porou and Ikaroa Rawhiti Labour MP Parekura Horomia died this week on April 29th, hundreds paid their respects as he lay at Hauiti marae, Mangatuna, Tolaga Bay. His reputation preceded him for his ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Archival recordings feature in the show from his new appointment as Minister of Maori Affairs in 2000 to an interview he had with Justine Murray at the 2011 Kohanga Reo protest.
