Poukai still going strong after 132 years - a podcast by RNZ

The Poukai is a gathering instigated by Kiingi Tawhiao in 1884 to look after the Pouaru, the whanau panui and the rawakore (the widowed, bereaved and the destitute) following the Land Wars in 1863.
