There are many times we have our lives planned out for us to finally touch based on that exact destination to find out that it's not what we expected or even wanted. Then we can find ourselves in a dilemma of what we truly want to do with our life. That is where the Universe comes in. At times we get hit with some kind of obstacles that can be tragic. When the smoke clears we make a promise to ourselves we never want any other person to feel the way we felt in that exact moment ever again. Or just see our life goes downward spiral then see the truth of a silver lining to our life back track to share on journey with others. So our purpose may come out of the blue for us, but that was God/ The Universe plan all along. There will be people that thought they knew us but are no longer on the same frequency that will try to tell us how our life should be or go against the plans they have paved out for us. This is our life and our journey sometimes it will be a mystery to others on where our journey is taking us. And that's ok as along as you're making a point to make a full understanding to what's unfolding that's all that matters. If they never get an understanding of what is taken place in your life it was never their purpose in the first place.
