The federal government has put its court challenge of a class-action lawsuit by six former members of Canada's military on hold. The former CAF military members are challenging the New Veterans Charter as being detrimental to retired and former members of the military when compared to the lifetime pensions our men and women in uniform used to receive. There's a new book coming out next week titled: A Dirty Little Skirmish. Roy speaks with Harold Leduc, a former CAF member who served with distinction in the Canadian Army. Roy also talks with David T. MacLeod, a veteran who served with the CAF from 198 to 2010 and Natasha Mohr whose husband Richard Mohr died of a brain tumour while serving as a Chief Petty Officer First Class in the Navy and she has been fighting the system since her husband's death. The Veterans Review and Appeal Board continue to deny her benefits.
