Brian Kruger - The Victoria Government has announced plans to increase the rate and the pass-through of the Point of Consumption Tax to the Victorian Racing Industry. In a move welcomed by Racing Victoria, along with Greyhound Racing Victoria and Harness Racing Victoria, POCT on wagering by Victorian residents will increase from 8 per cent to 10 per cent of Net Wagering Revenue (NWR) from July 1, 2021. This will bring it into line with the POCT rate currently in place in New South Wales
