He is also the Miami Dolphins Youth Programs Ambassador and a former linebacker for the Dolphins and the University of Miami. Listen as we talk with Coach Russell about this amazing virtual football opportunity for athletes and coaches across the world.

In response to the ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19, The Miami Dolphins will host its first-ever virtual High School Media Day (HSMD) presented by Nike on Wednesday, June 24th . The one-day immersive experience will provide every South Florida student athlete the opportunity to participate in life skill sessions including financial literacy presented by Truist, diversity and inclusion led by RISE (Ross Initiative In Sports For Equality), nutrition as well as social media tips and tools. These guided sessions will include panels featuring the entire 2020 Dolphins rookie class and has extended invitations to each of the 21 rookies’ high school football teams totaling outreach for participation to over 150 high school football programs. This marks the Dolphins’ eighth annual HSMD, the first of which to take place virtually, having hosted more than 100 teams from Miami- Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties in 2019.
