Kings blockbuster trade, Kings vs Timberwolves 2X Postgame 2/9/22 - a podcast by Owen and Fong Legacy

Kings finally pull off a blockbuster trade, they get Domantis Sabonis! They get Jeremy Lamb and Justin Holiday! But what did it cost? Buddy Hield, ok. Tristan Thompson, ok. TYRESE HALIBURTON!? HHHUUUUHHH!? 

The good? The Kings finally get an young All-Star on there team and arguably the best player on the Kings since DeMarcus Cousins. He rebounds, he scores and he passes. In addition, the Kings finally get some wings in Holiday and Lamb to fill out their depth chart in those positions. They also didn't have to mortgage their future, namely their picks to get this deal done. But losing Haliburton hurts and the Kings organization and their fans are mourning the departure of the such a wonderful basketball player and person from their team. But the reality was, this team needed a major reshuffle, and this is a major reshuffle. Only time will tell if this was the right move, but losing Haliburton hurts.

Now with that covered, there's been Kings games! In fact, 2 back to back games in the G1C against the Timberwolves. The first game was a tough loss where the Kings played well on offense but gave up 21 threes to the Wolves in a blowout. The 2nd game was an incredible win that may have rejuvenated the team and the fanbase as the Kings beat the Timberwolves 132-119. The newly acquired players debuted and their presence was felt right away. All of sudden, guys started moving, guys cut backdoor, open 3s off beautiful ball movement. It was almost like we were watching a whole new team!

This is only the first game with the new look Kings, but boy was it an incredible game to watch as a Kings fan and time will tell if this is legit turning of the corner for the Kings, or if this was all a mirage.
