Kings vs Blazers 3/29/23: Kings clinch playoffs for the 1st time in 17 years - a podcast by Owen and Fong Legacy

The Kings have finally done it. After 17 long years, which included an ownership change, 2 relocation attempts, endless chaos and constant losing, the Kings have officially turned the corner by clinching their 1st playoff berth since 2006. The Kings can finally get that monkey off their back and move forward to what is hopefully a new chapter for the franchise. The Kings and their fans can breathe a sigh of relief.

This Kings season has been magical, and that was further added onto by Keegan breaking the record for 3 pointers made by a rookie. He now has 188 made 3s and will only add on to it with 6 more games to go in the regular season.

The game itself was a bit a slog to watch, as it was a brickfest in the 1st half by both teams. The Kings would open the game up in the 2nd half by finally knocking down shots and won going away.

But the game itself was a formality, it was all about the historical implications for the Kings on this night. Tonight's win another feather in the King's cap and really exemplifies just how far this team has come.
