Kings vs Blazers & Clippers 2/25/23, Kings return from All Star Break, win one of the most spectacular games of all time - a podcast by Owen and Fong Legacy

It was the first game out of All Star Break and the Kings started out UUUUUGGGGLLLY, trailing 19-4 and getting blown off their own home floor by a Blazers team missing 4 starters and stuck at the Portland airport until 2 PM the same day. It was looking like one of those games the Kings inexplicable lose despite the deck being stacked against the opponent. 

But, the Kings got everything under control and worked their way back into the game, and once they took the lead in the 2nd quarter they never looked back. Despite the best efforts of Nassir Little, the Kings held on to the lead and won going away. It wasn’t pretty to start, and you really wish the Kings would do away with these slow starts. But they still won and took care of business.

Kings then flew to LA played the Clippers the next night in a bonkers of a game and it may go down as one of the greatest regular season games of all time. But without a doubt, this is the best Kings win in 16 years. It was a shootout the entire game, but the Clippers had gained the upper hand in the 2nd half and even went up double digits.

But the Kings kept fighting, they made big shot after big shot, play after play and capitalized on Clipper mistakes to make it a game down the stretch. Despite looking visibly gassed in OT, they still found ways to make shots and make plays to win the game.

It’s the best game of the season, the best game of the Kings in 16 years, and the Kings made a statement, they’re ready. They overcame 26 threes, 60% FG, 31 FTs from the Clippers, not to mention some of the “questionable” calls from the referees to take this game. This Kings team is playoff made.
