The Kings had a banger of a game in Utah, where De'Aaron Fox won it for the Kings with a layup and Lauri's spectacular heave at the buzzer was waived off. It was a fun back and forth game where the Kings led for much of the game, but this Jazz team has heart, and just kept fighting and fighting all the way to the very end.

While that should definitely be applauded, the Kings also showed a lot of heart and matched the Jazz's intensity and fight and that's how they were able to win this tough game.

The Kings are showing a lot of growth in this area, whereas in year's past, the Kings would get outworked by a team like the Jazz and lose the game. But not anymore, and that's all you can ask for.

The next night the Kings lose a close one to the Hawks back in the G1C. The Kings played from behind for much of the game but mustered an impressive rally late to take the lead, but a series of mistakes cost them the game. Fouling Trae on an And-1, 2 missed free throws from Sabonis and a Fox turned cost the Kings a win that was at their fingertips.

The Kings are on the brink of being a good team, they're on the brink of going 5 games over .500 for the 1st time since the 2005-06 season. It's little hurdles like this they need to get over to become a good team and at some point, they probably will. As it stands right now, they're right at the cusp of it and they'll need to pick it back up next game.
