Kings vs Lakers 1/18/23, Kings win in LA without Sabonis - a podcast by Owen and Fong Legacy

The Kings went into LA Wednesday night without Domantas Sabonis, Alex Len and Matthew Dellavedova and escape with a win against the Lakers. It wasn’t pretty, but they got the job done. The starters were all spectacular, including a newly resurrected Richaun Holmes, just about all them had big nights and in double digit +/-. The bench on the other hand … oof, scored a total of 21 points all night as opposed to the Laker’s 59 bench points. 

But because the starters were so good they made up for it. The Kings will need to sort this issue out one way or another, but on this night, they escaped with a big win without their best player and move to 3rd seed. Imagine predicting that early in the season.

The Kings go back to Sacramento to face the Thunder and Sixers on Friday and Saturday, 2 really tough opponents who are going to push the Kings to their limit and not gonna let the them get away with 21 points from the bench. The Kings will need to bring it.
