The Kings had to step in Golden 1 Center Wednesday night against the Nuggets without their star big man, Sabonis, who was suspended for 1 game for approaching the referee aggressively.

Hopes were not high and many Kings fans were expecting a blowout. But instead the Kings fought and made the Nuggets work, at one point even taking the lead in the 4th. They ultimately succumbed to the Nuggets but it's encouraging to see the Kings have fight in them and didn't just roll over.

While the losses are piling up, the Kings are showing a lot more heart and fight than they did earlier in the season. While it could be just the old fashioned "show up against the good teams but not bring it at all against the bad teams" cycle we've been through many times, what the Kings have shown these past 3 games despite losing all of them is when it all comes together, this team can be something. Now it's on them to figure out how to do it for all 48 minutes of a game and build more chemistry as the team gets more and more familiar with one another so they can come in next season locked and loaded.

We also discuss Tyrese's first appearance on the Old Man and the Three podcast since the trade to Indiana and his comments about the Kings. And we also have a fun discussion about the concept of loyalty in the NBA.
