Kings dropped the 1st of the back to back to the Nuggets where they got a big lead early against the Nugget when they couldn't make shots. But once the Nuggets started to get on track, they slowly started to catch up until they overtook the Kings in the 4th. The Kings stayed strong throughout but some costly turnovers and a pair of tough 3s from Porter and Murray gave the Nuggets the cushion to win the game. It’s another tough loss looming even larger because of the Hornets and Wizards losses, but the Kings did well without Sabonis.

They would rebound against the Nuggets the next night by picking up a huge win and surviving a 40 point barrage from reigning 2X MVP Nikola Jokic. The Kings looks lost early, despite the return of Sabonis, the offense was disjointed and they could get on track on that end. Meanwhile, the Nuggets came out firing on all cylinder, shooting over 70% from the field for much of the first half as they looked to have put the Kings away early. But the Kings didn't give up, despite being down double digits for much of the game, the Nuggets never put them away and a huge surge in the 4th let them steal the game from the jaws of defeat.

It's a much needed win for the Kings as they were reeling from this poor homestand, but they showed grit and determination to not give up and keeping fighting until an opportunity presented itself for them to get back into the game. The Kings will now need this momentum to carry over to Friday when they face the Jazz who undoubtedly won't be giving anything easy to the Kings.
