Kings vs Pelicans 12/2/23 - Pelicans pummel the Kings again and knock them out of the IST - a podcast by Owen and Fong Legacy

It's deja vu at this point, the Kings lose to the Pelicans for the 3rd time this season. The Kings came out gangbusters in the 1st quarter and jumped 32-17 lead at 4:27. And it was all downhill from there, the Pelicans brought in their defensive unit off the bench and they imposed their will on the Kings and took them out of their game.

In a theme with a lot of the Kings losses this season, the opponent uses defensive pressure to wear down the Kings and force them to play a more defensive minded game, a type of game this team has not proven to be able to thrive in.

The result was another ugly pummeling of the Kings, this time on their home floor. It's not the end of the world by any means, but the Kings will need to figure out how to handle teams like the Pelicans who use their length, size and physicality to overwhelm opponents.

This game had stakes and a playoff like atmosphere, and make no mistake, this is what teams in the playoffs are going to try to do to the Kings. This loss is another reminder that the Kings will need to level up to be able to survive the crucible of the playoffs.
