Kings vs Pelicans 3/6/23, Kings win decisively against Pelicans - a podcast by Owen and Fong Legacy

A weird game that resulted in a really good bounce back win for the Kings. The Kings basically picked up right where they left off from the Timberwolves game on defense, letting the Pelicans shoot 60.5% FG and 56% 3FG in the first half. The Kings offense wasn’t far behind, but the Kings couldn’t get consistent stops and so the game was tied going into halftime.

But then the 2nd half came, it’s started out a bit slow, but the Kings did eventually pick up the intensity on the defensive end, while still running their offense nicely on the other side. They mixed in some zone and got into the passing lanes to get out in transition and built a lead that they never relinquished.

The Kings are now 0.5 games behind Memphis for the 2 seed, 1 more win from matching their highest win total of 39 since the beginning of the drought. Things are good in King’s Landing right now.
