Kings take care of business against one of the worst teams in the league in the G1C on Wednesday night. It wasn’t perfect, there were a few moments it could’ve slipped away from the Kings, but they got themselves together and put together a killshot run in the 4th to put away the Rockets.

The player that gave them that boost in the 4th was Trey Lyles who put up 15 points and 6 rebounds in the 4th alone, finishing the night with 20 point and 7 rebounds, he deserves the game ball for this one.

But beneath the Trey Lyles explosions lies the thing the Kings need to address at some point, their defense. It seems to be getting worse each game and even though they did great in that stretch in the 4th, the other 40+ mins were dicey at best and it allowed the Rockets to keep the game close for a while. They got away with it tonight, much like many other nights, but this is something that needs to be addressed if they are to become a true playoff team.

Kings face them again on Friday, it'll be interesting to see if there's an adjustment made by either team and how the both teams respond.
