Kings vs Rockets 1/13/23, Kings go 5 games above .500 - a podcast by Owen and Fong Legacy

They finally did it, the Kings go 5 games above .500 for the first time since April 2006. The Kings have had 7 instances before where they were 4 games above .500 but weren't able to get over the hump, until now ... The Kings handled business against the Rockets once again in front of a sold out G1C crowd in a similar fashion to Wednesday's game. They had a competitive first half, but then locked in defense and blew the game open in the 2nd half, this time in the 3rd quarter. 

The game got testy in the 4th as Malik Monk and Garrison Mathews got into a scuffle which led to the 2 being ejected along with Chimezie Metu and Tari Eason. After the scuffle, the Kings took care of business and closed out the Rockets with a barrage of 3s.

The Kings have built up some momentum here and now that they gotten to the 5 games over .500 milestones, let's see if they can surpass it and go 6 games when they head to San Antonio to face the Spurs on Sunday.
