The Kings took on the San Antonio Spurs in the G1C Thursday night and won 130-112. It was a fast paced back and forth game for 3 quarters, where the Kings were unable to put away the short handed but very well coached young Spurs. Going into the 4th, it was expected that it's another one of those games where it will go down to the wire as the Kings have to fight tooth and nail in order to pull the game out in the end.

But instead, the Kings came out strong, turned up the defensive intensity to 11, turning defense into offense and before we knew it, it was a 17 point game and the Spurs never threatened again. That's right, the Kings smelled blood and went for the kill. It's a thing that the Kings have struggled with for years where they're unable to finish off a team early and inexplicably let the opposing team rally and get back in the game, but not tonight.

Is it ok to ask the question now? Have the Kings turned a corner? We can't answer that just yet without a bigger sample size of the Kings doing this more often. But this could be a sign that the Kings are ready to take that next step.

The Kings take on the Pistons on Sunday to close out this homestand. Let's see if the Kings can extend their winning streak to 6 and close out the homestand with a perfect record.
