Kings vs Timberwolves 1/28/23, Kings drop a frustrating one in Minnesota, 2023 Royal Rumble review - a podcast by Owen and Fong Legacy

The Kings go into Minnesota and drop their 1st of a 2 game series to the Timberwolves. The Kings were in a dog fight with the Wolves in the 1st half, back and forth with plenty of scoring from D'Angelo Russell from the Wolves and the Kings doing it by committee. Then the 3rd quarter happened, the Kings had a scoring drought through much of the quarter, while the Wolves or specifically Anthony Edwards heated up from 3, blowing the game open. And when he went to the bench, it was Naz Reid, the Kings struggled to stop him from scoring while trying to make a comeback. In the 4th, Fox came alive and scored 21, but again, they were trading baskets too often as they just couldn’t get consistent stops.

The frustrating part about this game in crunch time was the Wolves made bone headed plays, getting techs, back court violations, really dumb TOs, but the Kings couldn’t cash in with a score or would miss FTs. it’s a pretty bad loss, but it’s not the end of the world, hopefully the Kings make an adjustment on Monday and come out with a win.
