A native of Chicago Il and Milwaukee WI, Tyanna Buie is a visual artist currently working as an Assistant Professor/Selection Chair of Printmaking at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, while undertaking a 2019/2020 Grant Wood Fellowship in Printmaking at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA. In today’s episode we learn the way Buie is expanding her concept of what it means to be making art during these unusual times. This interview was recorded May 29, 2020.
